We wanted to check in and say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our October PTSO General Meeting, whether virtually or in person! We truly appreciate your continued support, involvement, and collaboration in making our school community so special.

We have  so many exciting things happening this month! 

Sprit Nights; 🍔🌶️We’re looking forward to our second spirit night of October at Culver’s on October 21st. We’re also excited to announce a brand-new partnership with Poblanos on November 3rd! Please see the flyer below for more details and information on how you can participate.

💃 Calling All Creative Volunteers!

We’re still looking for a few more helping hands to set up for our middle schoolers’ Taste of Homecoming Dance on October 16th set up for volunteers is 2:00–5:30 PM. We could also use a couple of volunteers to help with cleanup after the dance.

🎃 Thank You for Helping to Make Our Upcoming Trunk or Treat Event Spooktacular!

A tremendous thank-you to everyone who has donated candy, whether by sending it in with your student or purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List.  Here's that Amazon Wish List link again. If purchasing donations from the Amazon wish list, please put in the gift receipt your students name, grade and homeroom teacher so that we can ensure they receive their dress down pass.

Your generosity is helping ensure this event is a success.  We will be accepting donations up until the day of the event on October 30th! Students will receive dressdown pass for November 2nd with the candy donation. 😄🍫🍭🍬

Your PAMS PTSO has lots of fun planned for our upcoming Trunk or Treat, including food trucks, a DJ, games, a trunk-or-treat trail, and a trunk-decorating contest! It’s going to be a fantastic community event, and we can’t wait to see everyone there! Remember this event is open to the public!

We’re still looking for volunteers to help with our carnival activities, as well as families who would like to decorate their trunks and participate in the Trunk or Treat trail. If you’d like to get involved, we would love to have you join us! Please see the sign-up genius link below :

Counselor's Corner

Connection before Correction

Children don’t always have the words to explain what they’re feeling. Sometimes, stress shows up as irritability, withdrawal, difficulty concentrating, or reluctance to attend school.

This week, try setting aside a few minutes each day to connect with your child without distractions. Listen, ask open ended questions, and acknowledge their feelings before jumping into problem-solving. Consistent routines, healthy sleep habits, and supportive relationships also help children build resilience.

If you notice ongoing changes in your child’s mood, behavior, or school engagement, don’t hesitate to seek support. Families and schools working together can make a meaningful difference in a child’s wellbeing.

Remember: Every child deserves to feel heard, supported, and connected.
